WVU Sales Tax Exemption Certificates

The following states with sales and use tax do not currently allow sales and use tax exemption claims by WVU: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Washington, D.C., Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

The states and businesses below currently allow WVU sales and use tax exemption claims. Documents are in PDF format unless otherwise listed. Tax Services is currently working with the following states to determine WVU's sales tax exemption status: Rhode Island and Vermont. This page will be updated with additional information once our sales tax exemption status has been determined. If purchases are being made in these states, please contact Tax Services to determine if additional steps need to be taken.
