Glacier Tax Prep Information

Attention International Students and Employees

WVU Tax Services and International Students and Scholars Services is pleased to announce that the tax preparation software Glacier Tax Prep  will be available again this year for our international students and employees to aid in the filing of your federal tax return for the 2016 tax season.  WVU provides this service free to our international students and employees.

New for the 2016 tax season – If the Glacier Tax Prep software detects that you are also required to file a state tax return you will have the opportunity to prepare this return by clicking on the link provided in the Glacier Tax Prep software to Sprintax.  Please note that although Sprintax is being provided through Glacier Tax Prep to assist in the preparation of your state tax return that it is a separate tax preparation software that will require you to create a separate registration.  Additionally, although Glacier Tax Prep is provided for free to WVU international students and employees for use in completing your federal tax return; individuals will be responsible for any cost or fees associated with their state tax return and the Sprintax program.

To access the tax preparation software, please visit www.glaciertax.com/login.  To obtain the common access code, please e-mail Tax Services at tax@mail.wvu.edu.  Please be aware that under the WVU license agreement, the Glacier Tax Prep software is available only for WVU international students and/or employees.  The common access code will only be provided via e-mail to valid WVU mix or WVU mail e-mail addresses.  Please do not provide the common access code to non-WVU individuals in any manner.
